the island is a year-long group journey to help you bring to life a fulfilling creative business that supports you, while being in service of the more beautiful world you envision.
together with likeminded creatives from across disciplines, you will be designing the foundations of a business that feels truly yours - while enabling the life you want

duringt he 12 months of the programme you will be supported by a group of likeminded creatives as well as myself via:
- bi-weekly 2h group sessions to answer your questions, support each other, refelct & plan (second and last tuesday of each month, 6-8PM)
- individual coaching sessions to compliment this process
- a dedicated chat-space to get support in between sessions
- self-paced resources to help you get your business off the ground
PLEASE NOTE: this programme does NOT include legal support, to help you register your business or manage the legal aspects of your business. -
for the first six months, we will be diving into a new module each month to help you set the foundations of your business.
every module consists of pre-recorded classes, self-paced workshops and complimentary tools such as printable workbooks, notion templates and visual canvas to work at your own pace
all tools available for as long as lake days exists :)

we meet every second week for a group session where we come together to support each other, reflect, set goals and to get our questions answered on all things related to the programme and running our own businesses
there are two types of sessions
-open sessions: we come together to answer your questions and explore pressing issues you may be facing-monthly reflection & planning: we review & plan the coming month, and get together in small groups of 2-3 persons to support each other through challenges
we meet every second and last wednesday of the month, 6-8PM over Zoomrecordings available on the community platform

every quarter we meet for a shared session to check-in on our financial progress, set goals for the next quarter and explore actionable ideas to meet them.
a space to get intimate with our finances and overcome our financial barriers, so we can build a long-term financial growth that supports the life we want.

you’ll get 2x individual 90 min. sessions you can use throughout the year when you need, where we walk through your questions and blockages. I’ll be available to look into specific themes related to your business as well as emotional / mindset coaching as needed.

this journey comes with a wealth of resources such as printable workbooks, a centralised notion Island Home template to manage all your business operations (the same I use to run lake days), visual templates designed specifically for this process, and canva templates you can adapt to your own needs.

the programme is hosted on a private community of creatives, with a dedicated chat room and space for your fellow The Island participants - where you can share your questions and ask for feedback in between sessions.

the programme:

before we get into designing the foundations of your business, we look into the bigger picture: what is the life you want to create for yourself?
what is the world you want to live in?
we want to create businesses that a) embody the essence of that vision, b) naturally lead you there.
once the vision is clear, and we are connected with our gifts and multiple passions, we envision the possible ways to get there. things get messy here, before they get clear.
once the vision is clear, and we’ve ideated a way forward that excites us, we dive into the subconscious to unblock the mechanisms os self-doubt and fears that may prevent us from moving forward.we’ll explore simple tools to help you process your emotions, find safety in your body, amplify your nervous system capacity to navigate uncertainty and so on.
in short, this module is all about:
a) connecting with the vision
b) ideating our way forward through a business that embodies its essence and leads us there
c) clearing the way (from the unconscious beliefs and mechanisms holding us back) -
here we start creating the foundations of your business, designing a business model that is aligned with your energy, your gifts and the life you want to have. we’ll look into the core aspects of this business: the why, the how, the what.
we’ll ideate possible revenue streams and models, ideal clients and offerings + your business needs and expenses.
we get real on the numbers, and how to meet them and create a scalable baseline, so you can raise your income without sacrificing on your time and energy. -
here we get out of our heads and into the real world, and start connecting with the people we want to work with / for.
we get out to get real insights, and investigate the broader ecosystem in which our business operates.
it’s about gathering information, reflecting and observing from upclose.

here we dive deep into your core offering(s), following a repeatable system to design high-value offers, and a strategic offering ecosystem to create resiliency in your business, and a steady flow of clients.

here you’ll create a simple brand identity that expresses the essence of your business, creating the assets you’ll need to bring it to life (if you’ll be creating them on their own!)
it’s all about branding, and creating the essentials your business needs to exist: either a website, social media templates or email marketing assets such as newsletter templates.
this will dependent on your unique business needs.

on the final module we look into how to communicate your offerings and drive visibility towards your work in a way that feels good and exciting to you, but also effective.
we look into:
strategies to grow your brand awareness / visibility
showing up on social media (and overcoming our fears of being seen)
creating your email funnels / newsletters
promoting your offers with ease
designing effective sales-pages that address your clients desires and objections

working in alignment with your mind, body, mind and soul’s capacities and needs will be fundamental to being on the driver’s seat of your business. from making decisions, to steering the wheel when things get out of alignment or you are faced with challenges. we will be addressing mindset shifts throughout the whole programme, and working towards unblocking limiting beliefs that may be preventing you from moving forward.

I joined The Island with an illustration freelance business, but with a strong desire to learn more, about the business aspect in particular. My work with Gabriela and the Island community delivered that and so much more. Gabi is so good at holding space, and the course is wonderfully holistic.
Throughout the program and the exercises I felt like I learnt as much about myself as I did my business and I've felt the beneficial ripple effects of that knowledge ever since. I knew this program was going to be great, however I was very impressedby the amount of work Gabriela put into it.
From journaling points to connect with our values and creativity, through introduction to shadow work and ending on hard knowledge and useful working templates.
I've learn how to identify my ideal clients, create the offer, analyze cost of my offerings to see if they can be sustainable, about diversifying services, where the desire of working with sound and somatics come from and what is often stopping me from telling my authentic story.
The Island program stands out because of Gabriela's experience in creative works. All the usual issues - she gets it and touches it in the program. For example fears of asking for money for creative work, financial anxiety of living from our offerings and fear we will loose joy once monetized, fear of presenting our work etc. That’s why this program is so unique and crafted for people who know what all these fears mean.
After this program, I will work on my online offering to be able to scale my work and have more flexibility.
What got clear through this process is the fact that most of the issues stem from fear of being seen and judged and not from lack of tools and ideas.
